Youth Retreat (Youth Serving Christ) 18th – 23rd August 2019.

Prayers This morning we are going to thank God for the opportunity he has granted all our youth to attend this year’s retreat. Thank God for journey mercies and those that made it to this year’s retreat. Thank God for how far he has helped them since Sunday when they got to the retreat. Thank God for that which he has started in the lives of our young people. Lord, grant every young guy and young lady the grace to partake of all that you have purposed for their lives in Jesus name. HYMN : All hail the power of Jesus' name! The Youth As we are aware are the Teens, Adolescence, Young Adulthood, and off course our next Generation. The Word of God says that our children are for signs and wonders.”Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders” (Isaiah 8:18), for the signs and wonders to be seen physically, our Youth have to manifest the expectation of creation. ” For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God”( Romans 8:19) For today’s intercession we are going to use RCCG (Redeemed Christian Church Of GOD) youth as a point of contact to all the youths in the Nations. The question now is what is the expectation of creation? Text : 2 Samuel 23:8-39 By the Grace of God our youth will be going to the retreat again this year and we’ve been praying for them even on this platform. Today we want to knock on heaven’s door again concerning the meeting. As I meditated on what and how to pray, I heard David’s loyal servants and to be honest I was wondering how that relates to our topic, but we trust the holy spirit to help us as we pray. Through the ages, whenever God has done a significant work, He has done it through a group of devoted people. Men and women who are attracted to the person of Christ and are committed to His cause. The youth retreat is something the Lord himself started and through the years He choose for himself men and women who are first attracted to His person, just like these mighty men who were with David.  David’s men were not unwilling novices who shoddily fulfilled their duty.
