THE YOUTH

HYMN: All hail the power of Jesus' name!

The Youth As we are aware are the Teens, Adolescence, Young Adulthood, and off course our next Generation. The Word of God says that our children are for signs and wonders.”Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders” (Isaiah 8:18), for the signs and wonders to be seen physically, our Youth have to manifest the expectation of creation.” For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God”( Romans 8:19)

For today’s intercession we are going to use RCCG (Redeemed Christian Church Of GOD) youth as a point of contact to all the youths in the Nations.

The question now is what is the expectation of creation? The expectation is that they see “Little Jesus” in and through our YOUTH, Unfortunately the reverse is the case, but we are not discouraged because we know that there is nothing our God cannot do, there is nothing He cannot turn around, He is an able God.

 

We are going to visit a couple of challenges that our Youth of today Face and see how victory was accomplished when the Youth in the Bible had similar encounters.

PRAYER

• Firstly let us thank God for our Youth for thus far they have come, Pray that the mercy of God will locate them and avail for them. 

• FEAR OF THE LORD: “There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How can I do this great wickedness, and SIN AGAINST GOD?” Joseph manifested the fear of God in this situation, he FLEE. The Fear of GOD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” Proverbs 9:10, Pray that by reason of the word of God imbibed in their hearts, they would have the Fear of God.”The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; he will not be visited with evil” Our Youth will be filled with the Fear of God, so that they can live a satisfactory and pleasing life unto God.  

• LUST OF THE FLESH: In the same Genesis 39:7” And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said” Lie with me” he refused but she did not stop in her ploy, in verse 12: she caught him by his garment saying “lie with me”, but he left his garment in her hand and fled outside. The sin of sexual lust in our youth has derailed a lot of destinies, lots of destinies have been stranded, we see various instances of babies carring babies ( young mothers), Education being stunted etc. Prayer: “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to your word” Psalm 119:9,” Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”, “Sanctify them by your Truth, your word is TRUTH” John 17:17, JESUS is the Word, let us Pray that our youth will allow  Jesus to  impact their lives, allow Jesus to live His life through them, the message of the Cross will make a difference in their lives, the fire of the Holy Spirit will Ignite their lives and every iniquity be consumed. And  Let them come forth without any debris. 

• PEER PRESSURE:”Now the sons of Eli were corrupt, they did not know the Lord” 1st Samuel 2:12;  “ Therefore  the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord” 1st Samuel 2:17.  Samuel even as a child did not get influenced by the older men who did evil in the house of Eli, rather he ministered unto God, the way of the Lord that he was taught he did not depart from. Proverbs 22:6. Prayer: Pray that our youth will not depart from the way of the Lord, that no matter where they find themselves they shall shine as light in every darkness, they will be catalyst used as change agents in their generation, the word will expound in them and through them in Jesus name.” Train up your child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it ”Proverbs 22:6.

• ATTACK FROM THE ADVERSARY:” Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb; I am the Lord, who makes all things, who stretches out the heavens all alone, who spreads abroad the earth by Myself; Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, and drives diviners mad, who turns wise men backward and makes their knowledge foolishness. Isaiah 44:24-25. Prayer : Pray that the plans of the evil one and all its agents concerning our youth will not prosper, every divination that is contrary to the will of God for them we nullify by the power in the Blood, every spirit that is manifesting through them that is not of God, thus far  will they go. “Thus says the Lord: It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass” Isaiah 7:7. Prayer: Let us begin to plead the blood over their destiny, Calvary will avail, speak and Defend them, they will be light in the darkness of this world, they will be fruitful Spiritually,  in all area of life ,and they will be available to be used of God. The Labor of their parents and God over them will not be in Vain.
