Singles embracing holiness and purity

• We have different kind of singles: the unmarried singles, the separated singles, the widows, the divorcee, those who had children in the past etc.
• Holiness and purity can seem a very difficult thing for a modern day single of any kind.
• The media, friends, relatives etc can even make it harder for them to embrace holiness or purity. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
• Holiness is not what a man can make of Himself, for God is the one who is holy and by the cross of His son Jesus, as many who come to Him would have what it takes to embrace holiness and purity.

Why pray for holiness and purity for our singles?

• Without holiness no one can see God. Hebrews 12:14.
• God Himself is Holy and pure: Leviticus11:44, 20:26, Habakuk 1:13
• God did not call them unto uncleanliness 1Thessalonians 4:7
• There is a promise awaiting them. 2 Corinthians 6: 18, 7:1
• God gave Christ as the platform for every single to embrace holiness and purity. 2 Corinthians 5:21.

Proverbs 24:30-34  

30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 31And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. 32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. 33Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

Prayer

• They will care about the things of the Lord, so that they may be holy both in body and in spirit. 1 Corinthians 7:34.

• They shall not be slothful with their walk with God.  

• The Lord will grant them a deeper understanding of the need to embrace holiness and beauty.

• The Lord will cause our singles to be mindful of the environment that they stay in.

• That the Lord Himself will release grace to resist all temptations unto unholiness.

• That we the married will take responsibility over these singles so we do not face a lack of singles that embrace holiness and purity.

• That the Cross of Christ will have its full effect upon the life of the singles that come our paths and our platforms.
